First: DID YOU HEAR? I am involved in my first GIVEAWAY! The Thing About Joy is having her July group giveaway! There are a lot of GREAT things being given away over there so hop on over and check it all out!
Okay now to the point! :D
I am going to show you a little idea that I got from Alli from Life On LeRoy. I made this for a friend of my that is going into college this year and I wanted to spice up her dorm room for her. Now this isn't the best quality and there are some goobers but I'm not a professional.
This is an 8 X 10 canvas from Walmart for 8 dollars for a pack of two
Choose your paint. I talked to a friend of mine and the Krylon Gloss Indoor/Outdoor is the ones that work best for this.
Tape it up how you want. (This is not the canvas I have for the rest of the tutorial)
I used the striped one for the tutorial. Anyways, place your canvases down on some newspaper or a surface that you don't mind getting paint on.
Paint away! :) See how clean of a job I did??
This paint dries in 10 minutes and is ready for use in an hour so I waited an hour until I took that tape off.
Slowly did I do this part.
Not the cleanest edges but I am not a professional :D
There you have it! I am going to clean up the runs with a white paint (Advice from my artist of a friend (Kidding Lauren I love you!)) This was really simple and I can't wait to do more. I am going to say that it was windy that day and I did it outdoors. Not the smartest idea that I had, but it was a lot of fun. :) Let me know if you do this! I would love to see what you did!
Also, I am now doing sponsors! Woo hoo! I am so excited! Go on over to my sponsors page and check it out! I am growing and so is my blog and I can't wait to work with all of you lovely people! :D I have great new things going on for my blog right now. Bree at The Thing About Joy is creating a blog design for me! :D So far everything looks great and I can't wait to share the final thing with all of you lovely readers! It should be up in the next week or so!
Have a great Thursday everyone!!
I DID IT!!
I finally finished my first Pinterest project! I am in the mood to help keep myself more organized at college and I found this wall organizer with pockets. So I thought well why not? What do I have to lose trying out my creative side?!?
So with out further ado! Here is my finished project!!!
Yes I like cows, cow print and all things black and white. So this is only right for me to have done it like this. I couldn't have, in no way, done this on my own with my imagination. You can find the instructions and more here at Choose To Thrive. She has so many different projects that you can do alone and you can do with your little ones. I, do not have any kids (not even married), but these projects that she has on here makes me want to do these with kids!
I am so proud of myself!!! :D I am not an artsy person, but doing this makes me want to do more!!! So... here I go!
Hope everyone's Wednesday is going FABULOUSLY!
A few things that I've gotten excited over on pinterest. Hope ya'll like 'em just like I do!

Sorry my pictures are scattered haven't really got the hang of that yet, ANYWAYS here are a few of my favorite things. :) ( hehe I love that song from the sound of music. :D)
Clipboards: I always need a good idea for Christmas or birthday presents! These are easy to make (so it looks) and great for anyone! Many uses!
Organizer: I am making this before I go back to school! I am going to use it in my dorm room! :D Great for organizing homework or projects! I'll post a How-To after I make it.. OR you can going to pinterest and see how to make it.
Glasses: How cool right? It would be great for a get together. Write all the guests name's on them and either erase when done or let them have it as a party favor! (Also, may do as a gift!)
Binder: If you follow me on Pinterest you can see that this is a life organizer! It shows all the important documents that you receive in your life or ANYTHING really. :) I can't wait to make one for myself. It would be easy, because all of your information would be in one spot.
Saying: I just love canvases that have sayings on them about life. :) One of the greatest things I find on Pinterest! :D
I Love You: I started doing this for a friend of my and in the middle of it we got into a big fight and are no longer friends (SAD FACE) (I Miss My Friend) I still love this idea and I WILL make it for someone someday! :D
Happy Friday the 13th!!!! Hope you all have a fantastic Friday!!! :D
- Love Always
Nat
I got this idea from
Life On LeRoy. Ideas for around the house not necessarily the house itself.
Always looking to organize the laundry room!
If I lived on the lake or had a cabin to design I would definitely like an outdoor shower.
Organized shelves in the laundry room.
Menu board in the kitcthen
Something for out on the porch or deck.
A great way to display family portraits and meaningful words.
Family movie theater. They look comfortable, I would like to see if they actually are.
My favorite color is the green family. More towards the lime family. I loves these colors together as well.
This would be my mud room. I'm not sure if I would use these colors exactly, but I like the style and the idea of this. Very organized and clean.
My future home designs. Maybe.
I am super excited to make this project. It's for my aunt and she loves Doctor Seuss. I want to use these quotes:
I want to print them off in a newspaper fashion and paste them in a vintage looking frame.
When I start I hope to post pictures and how I did that.
