Prayers For Grace

Do you believe in miracles? Do you believe in the power of prayer?

Well I do.

My very dear friend Grace was in a HORRIBLE accident yesterday afternoon. She left her house at one and the call didn't go out until 2:30. She was found only 15 minutes from her house. Which means she was there for over an hour.. by herself, hurt and in trouble.

Some one on a motorcycle found her car. Thank God they could see her because she was apparently really far into the woods. I can't even imagine what it was like for her just sitting there in pain with no way to call for help. She was helpless. I can't even imagine!

As I sit crying my eyes out I try to think what must have been running through her mind. For me it would be like. Is this it? Is this my time to go? Why am I going in pain? Why can't I go painless? Well thankfully for her that wasn't it and she is still here.

I don't know how long it took the first responders to get there but by then she was unconscious. They found her with tear stained checks and a tear stained shirt. OH MY GOD Grace was in pain that she was crying.. my Grace!

They have to use the jaws of life to get her out of her car. That's how bad it was! I just recently saw a picture of what the car looked like after they got her out and I can't even imagine! Once they took her to the hospital they decided to take her to the bigger (and better) hospital two hours away.

She has a broken clavicle, lacerations, and a swollen brain. Once they got her to the hospital they induced her into a coma for a while. In about 72 hours they will start taking the medicine off and waking her up. Until then I wait.

She does, however, respond to her mom's and dad's voice also her sister's. Her blood pressure (or pulse or something) goes down when her parents talk and goes up when her sister talks. Typical sister relationship. I don't know anything else, but only positive thoughts and prayers to Grace and her friends and family.

So will you all please pray for Grace and her friends and family. I know you don't know her at all, but this is serious and life threatening. I know it could be a lot worse. Please and thank you.
