Project 15 Completed

A while back in like August September-ish I was asking people what they say to their 15 year old self. I totally forgot to post it when I was done. My own thoughts on it is, its nothing special I could have done better. Some things people were sending me were great and some things I just couldn't put in there. It's definitely amateur made. Without further ado here it is.

Let me know what you think! :)

Life Isn't Bad After All

1:41:00 PM Natalie S 0 Comments

As I sit here in my bed I am thinking, I honestly do not have a rough life. I'm at college, I'm getting an education, I have a place to lay my head at night, food to eat, friends to talk to, I could go on and on.
I am very blessed to be able to have all those things in my life and much more! I have people who love me and a blanket that never fails to keep me warm. I don't know why I complain so much life is not that hard for me.
I am praying more often now and I feel as if that take a lot of stress away/off my shoulders. I pray about my happiness about my family and about my friends. I pray that those people who do not feel as if they are not fortunate or lucky to have some place to call home realize that they are. I do not go to church, but I feel as if you don't need to talk to God. If you feel it in your heart and in your mind then you can do it. (and that goes for anything)
I hope that one day I will give some child a life just like both my parents gave me and my siblings.
I want to start giving back to people, not even those who have given to me. Let me explain myself. On my home on spring break I was at a gas station filling up my car. Now I didn't even think twice about how much to put in or if I was going to have enough money to pay for it. I knew I did and like I said I didn't think twice. There was a lady a couple of pumps over who was crying about how she only had ten dollars to put in and she was afraid that the people inside working the counter were going to "judge" her because of how little gas she put in her car. Now I really wish I acted upon my thoughts and given her 20 dollars and told her to fill it up or keep putting gas in and I would cover it. As I drove away full and ready to hit the road I was beating myself up that I didn't do such. It's become a habit of mine to pay for the persons toll behind me on the bridge, but I did not do it this time. I don't know why, but I didn't. I am content with where I am in life and what decisions I have made to go in the future. I am ready to take a few more steps (not in a hurry) toward my future and my goals.

Have you ever had these days where you just sit and contemplate about your life that you realize that it isn't so bad after all? Our middle class status isn't as bad as we thought it was or that the fact that you have healthy kids or that you are happy with your job or where ever you are in life.

Transformation Tuesday!

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Trips, trips and more trips.

6:03:00 PM Natalie S 0 Comments

For a while now I have been hemming and hawing about where to go on trips that I want to take very very soon. One will be next year January 2014 for my birthday and then another one will be a spring break/summer that I take over seas some where. I need help though.

For my birthday I would like to either go to Nashville or San Francisco.
I have never been to either. I have been to Memphis, Tennessee. I have driven through Nashville on my way to Florida. Never have I stopped in Nashville and if you don't know I am a huge country music fan. Then there is San Fran which in this case I have never been to California. I have cousins that live in SF, and it would be cool to see them. Also we most likely wouldn't have to pay for hotels because we could possibly just stay at their place.

For my spring/summer one I am down to four choices; Australia, England, Italy, or the Netherlands.
I don't have any explanation other than I really want to go over seas and for my first trip I would love it to be one of those places.

Do you think you all could lend me your thoughts and opinions. If you have been to any of those places I would love to hear how your trip went and what experiences you had. Also maybe some things that you would've like to know before you left for your trip.

I also have been thinking about starting up a Podcast or maybe doing a vlog. I have to do some thinking and some planning to see what it would take but I really want to do it.

These are pictures from my trip to Minneapolis.

The Tenderloins Live

11:35:00 AM Natalie S 0 Comments

This past weekend I went to Minneapolis to go to see The Tenderloins live! It was a long drive to get there (11 hours) but I made it and I had a blast! I had no idea what to expect when I got there and I am going to be honest when I pulled up to the cinema I was thinking to myself, this is it? From the outside and surrounding stores it looked, in my exact words, "very sketchy".  The place was actually very nice. I had never been in a theater that had tables to eat dinner and watch a movie. It was a whole new experience for me.

The show was amazing.

They; Q, Murr, Joe and Sal, came out to the stage to the song 'Sexy and I Know It' by LMFAO.  The moment I saw them I freaked out I screamed 'Oh my God they are real!' For me it was weird, a good weird, seeing them in person after only seeing them on TV and also on their YouTube channel; The Tenderloins. I was star struck for sure. From then on I don't remember ever not laughing or smiling.

Now I will not tell every detail of the show because I do not want to ruin it for anyone who may see them in the future.

At the beginning of the show, they asked the questions most people would think that they would ask; Who is the oldest, the youngest and who drove the farthest. Well I drove 10 plus hours to get there so without a doubt I raised my hands and shouted 10 hours! Someone else said 2 hours, and I had to laugh because that wasn't a far trip at all. Some other lady said she had driven 11 hours from the UP of Michigan and if you follow my blog you already know that I live in the UP during the summer time when I am not at school. Even from the farthest point in the UP it does not take 11 hours to get to Minneapolis. Sorry lady but you lost. Anyways, after that lady told them where she came from, Murr turned back to me and my sister and asked where we came from and in sync Jenny and I both said Grand Rapids, MI and they were all like 'Oh my god are you two twins". Jenny and I just laughed . Continuing Murr asked what we do in Grand Rapids and I said I go to school for Advertising and Jenny told them she works in HR. Having had a little mini conversation with them made me beyond happy.

The show consisted of a lot of improv, some experiences they've had on the road, and then a little bit of the show. If you all like their podcast or their show in TruTV on Thursday nights at 10 pm I highly highly suggest that you go and see them live.

Here are just a few pictures I took at the show. I would have taken more, but my phone died.

Get it Murr

Yes, I got to meet Murr and Joe. It pretty much has made my life. I just love them, especially Murr!

I definitely plan on going to see them again! Their show was amazing! I am going to say it again, go see them live or check out their show on TruTV or their many YouTube videos (The Tenderloins) or check out their Tenderloins Podcast. You honestly do no know what you missing if you don't!

Now my next mission is to get James Murray (Murr) to celebrate my 21st birthday with me.
Hey Murr if you read this would you please celebrate my 21st birthday with me?

Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

What did you all do for your weekend?
