Just A Typical Tuesday

8:47:00 AM Natalie S 3 Comments

I didn't post anything yesterday, because it was just one of those days (sorry :( ) I should start making a planner for me for my blog. In fact I will. :) That's good for all of you! :) Yesterday I didn't even get out of bed until NINE! I was just feeling lazy. I had nothing to do or anything at all. So I just laid in bed until my stomach started to growl.

So I really don't have anything for today either... is that bad?

Here is what I have planned for this week
1. Go see Batman
2. Make lists for school
3. Get money managed (FUN!... no)
4.ORGANIZE AND CLEAN

It's really just a typical week for me.

Today I am guest posting over at Little Homemade House Wife! Check it out everyone!

Let her know that I sent you! :D

Leaving you with some pictures! Have a great Tuesday everyone! :D

Pinterest Pickings and Thanks!

5:36:00 PM Natalie S 0 Comments

As I sit here on my parent's deck I can't help think about all the people I have met in the past 3 months. Who I wouldn't have met if I didn't start this blog. Where I wouldn't be if I never wanted to tell my story. So to all you readers, to all of you bloggers and just to every one I thank you and also I am so very happy to have met you here in this great community of bloggers!

I LOVE reading your stories of motherhood, the little things that make your day, the things that don't make your day and everyday life! You all inspire me to keep going. To keep doing what I am doing no matter what anyone says (and have they said a lot!)! So to each and every one of you I say thank you from the bottom of my heart and if I could each and every one of you would be hugged. (I just like to hug)

So with out further ado! My Pinterest Pickings of the week!

Most of my pins this week were wedding related items. I don't have a rhyme or reason for it, I just was interested in looking at all the ideas for a wedding.

So here are some of my favorite pins for the week!! :D

9. I remember family and friends not knowing what songs to play.. now you know you won't upset everyone (do they get upset?)
10. Cool huh? I want to someday travel.. but that cost money and time and until then It's on my list.
11. What an awesome outfit! I would love to wear this. It's so me.

Olympics!

7:22:00 PM Natalie S 0 Comments

GO TEAM USA!

How do you celebrate and show your USA pride?

You know my dream, when I was a little kid was to go to the Olympics? Yes, I'm sure lots of little kids want to go to the Olympics someday, but I WANTED to. When I was younger my parents put my sister, my brother and I into swimming in our town. I loved it! Also, not to toot my own horn I was really good at it. When I turned 10 my parents decided to move to the middle of nowhere where they didn't have a community swim team! SAD FACE! When I was a freshmen in high school, I got back into swimming. Day after day I would go to practice. now let me tell you my typical day. Get up at 5 get ready to go to school get on the bus at 6:15 going to school for the day, leave school at 3:30 get to practice about 4:15 (drive time to practice was 45 minutes), practice for about two-ish hours, leave there at 7 and finally get home at 9. After all that do homework and have dinner then get up and do it all over again. Long day for a freshmen. I should add on Mondays I would have drum lessons until 10 o'clock. So after two years of being in swimming I decided I would stop. I was to tired. I would definitely still have done it IF it wasn't such a drive and IF I didn't have to get up at 5 every day. :( I miss it more and more every day.

What was your favorite part of the Olympics opening ceremony?
Industrial Revolution
Queens Enterance
Doctors and Nurses (National Health Services)
Mr. Bean
Frankie and June Say Thanks Time
Parade Of Nations?

Or if you have a specific part let us know!

Hope you all had a great Friday!

Leaving you all with a couple of pictures.

Sponsorship and Canvas Art and Giveaways! Oh MY!!

8:42:00 AM Natalie S 0 Comments

First: DID YOU HEAR? I am involved in my first GIVEAWAY! The Thing About Joy is having her July group giveaway! There are a lot of GREAT things being given away over there so hop on over and check it all out!

Okay now to the point! :D
I am going to show you a little idea that I got from Alli from Life On LeRoy. I made this for a friend of my that is going into college this year and I wanted to spice up her dorm room for her. Now this isn't the best quality and there are some goobers but I'm not a professional.

This is an 8 X 10 canvas from Walmart for 8 dollars for a pack of two

Choose your paint. I talked to a friend of mine and the Krylon Gloss Indoor/Outdoor is the ones that work best for this.

Tape it up how you want. (This is not the canvas I have for the rest of the tutorial)

I used the striped one for the tutorial. Anyways, place your canvases down on some newspaper or a surface that you don't mind getting paint on.

Paint away! :) See how clean of a job I did??

This paint dries in 10 minutes and is ready for use in an hour so I waited an hour until I took that tape off.

Slowly did I do this part.

Not the cleanest edges but I am not a professional :D

There you have it! I am going to clean up the runs with a white paint (Advice from my artist of a friend (Kidding Lauren I love you!)) This was really simple and I can't wait to do more. I am going to say that it was windy that day and I did it outdoors. Not the smartest idea that I had, but it was a lot of fun. :) Let me know if you do this! I would love to see what you did!

Also, I am now doing sponsors! Woo hoo! I am so excited! Go on over to my sponsors page and check it out! I am growing and so is my blog and I can't wait to work with all of you lovely people! :D I have great new things going on for my blog right now. Bree at The Thing About Joy is creating a blog design for me! :D So far everything looks great and I can't wait to share the final thing with all of you lovely readers! It should be up in the next week or so!

Have a great Thursday everyone!!

Everyone likes a good jam seshhh (session) right?

I talked on my last 100 Blissful post that I was going to do a music post, well I got to thinking and I did it! These songs are good jamming songs. :) To be honest these are the songs that I clean the house to or my dorm when I am at school. Weird? Also, anytime that I need a good dance in my room (or coarse with a hairbrush and singing my heart out).

I have deiced to also do a list of my favorite love songs. I am a sucker for love songs. I'm a girl what do you expect? Trust me NO Taylor Swift. I will say that I occasionally listen to her, but I know not everyone does, so I'll leave her out.

                          Pinterest Pickings!

                          9:08:00 AM Natalie S 0 Comments

It's a new week so its time for my Pinterest Pickings!! :D First I am going to tell you what I have done on my Pinterest list.
I completed the wall organizer.. or whatever you want to call it.  You can find that here. :D
It was a lot of fun doing that project and I am thinking about doing it again.
I have a few projects going right now. I have my chalkboard wine glasses.  I am interested in seeing how they turn out.
Here are some more projects that I may do and just some pins that I love.

                          1. PATRICK DEMPSEY! Oh how lovely is he? I just had to pin him.
2.Wedding Thank You notes. I know weddings cost an arm and a leg, BUT Pinterest has helped so many people take hundreds or more off of their bills for their wedding. These are so cute and touching too.
3.I love this outfit! It's so me. I just may have to go out and buy this for myself. :D
                          4. What a touching story. Here is where you can find the story.
5.I can't wait to try this out! I will be doing this on Monday so stay tuned for that post later. I would give these out to friends and keep some for myself. :D
                          6. I love this lighting here. I may just have to try this in my dorm room. Only thing is that I can concrete walls so nothing really sticks to it. Any Ideas?

Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend!!! :D

                          1st Pinterest Done!

                          11:26:00 AM Natalie S 2 Comments

                          I DID IT!!

I finally finished my first Pinterest project! I am in the mood to help keep myself more organized at college and I found this wall organizer with pockets. So I thought well why not? What do I have to lose trying out my creative side?!?

So with out further ado! Here is my finished project!!!

Yes I like cows, cow print and all things black and white. So this is only right for me to have done it like this. I couldn't have, in no way, done this on my own with my imagination. You can find the instructions and more here at Choose To Thrive. She has so many different projects that you can do alone and you can do with your little ones. I, do not have any kids (not even married), but these projects that she has on here makes me want to do these with kids!

I am so proud of myself!!! :D I am not an artsy person, but doing this makes me want to do more!!! So... here I go!

Hope everyone's Wednesday is going FABULOUSLY!
